His recent passing felt very personal. I loved the Specials in the 80s, they were a part of my teenage self. Saw them one last time this summer just gone, every tune was note perfect. This is my first portrait in oils, quite a learning curve learning to control them oily beasts. 100cms x 80cms oil on canvas.
