Both these species are listed as endangered on the IUCN red list. The tallest land mammal and the largest (in size) land mammal, iconic animals throughout my lifetime. It seems unimaginable that their existence is threatened by the continuing actions of humans, its truly saddening but its often mentioned that its not yet irreversible if we curtail the impact we have on nature by consciously changing our actions both individually and by pressuring our governing authorities to act quicker. Acrylic on canvas 100cms x 80cms.
